[EN] Casual Romania presents Tanzbrigade Wien (exclusive interview)

(–>>>pentru versiunea în romana apasă aici <<<–)

[CR] – Hi, can you describe your crew Tanzbrigade? What does the name mean, when was it created, etc?
\"\"

[TW] – The name \”dance brigade\” is self-explanatory in German as well as in English.
Quasi a dancing unit. We are friends of electronic music with a clear positive attitude to our fatherland. We have been around for 10 years

[CR] Why did you create Tanzbrigade?
[TW] Our roots are in hardcore gabber. At first we were just simple party guests. At that time it was common for groups to form. We were one of them. At some point we got the desire for more and started to play or produce music ourselves. However, a right-wing group – which also stands by this and plays electronic music – was new.

[CR] – Is your group formed by football hooligans only?
[TW] No, because we are not a hooligan group. But what is true is that some members are part of different hooligan/fan clubs.

[CR] – Who can join your group? Do you accept girls too?
[TW] The personal level must fit. However, having a special skill that serves the cause is an advantage. Yes, we also have women and they are also an important part of us.

[CR] – What is the usual activity of your group? Can you describe some actions?
\"\"
[TW] As we have invested in musical equipment we have grown into a sound system and are able to organize our own parties at any time. Besides we create banners, do actions and spray graffiti.
Preferably we spray over already existing Antifa graffiti.

[CR] – We know you guys also produce music, is it mainly techno? Give us some channels or playlists we can listen to.
[TW] Yes, mainly techno. We are willing to experiment, but usually we like techno with hard bass. We only run a Youtube channel under \”Tanzbrigade Wien\” which we link to you. So you can make yourselves a picture of it.

[CR] – Do you think that music is an important subculture where we should be more present as nationalists, to produce music and attract youngsters?
[TW] Of course! Music arouses emotions and can be the first point of contact. Similar to soccer, when there is a good atmosphere in the stadium.

[CR] – We saw you were present at some techno festivals frequently. How does a nationalist group mingle in a scene full of drugs and antifa?
[TW] At techno parties, there are always men who are not there because of the music, but because of alcoholized defenseless women. We notice that women feel safer in our environment because of these circumstances, because we are different and the music is in the foreground. This is certainly one of the reasons why the average number of women in our group is higher than in other nationalist groups. As far as Antifa at the festivals or in the clubs is concerned, there have been no problems worth mentioning so far. We know the most important bouncers in Vienna and some of them are at our parties themselves. For example, a DJ friend of ours had a gig in a rather left-wing club and wore one of our shirts. The atmosphere was good and there were no negative reactions. Maximum a few speechless faces because of the shirt.

[CR] – Since you guys are also music producers, you know that we are in a hard cultural battle against the leftism, progresism and neomarxism. Do you think the battle is lost or we have the duty to fight this battle till the end?
[TW] The last years have shown how fast the circumstances in a country can change. Keyword: Corona, Ukraine war. Hope always remains. However, world-view strengthened we go our way in good as well as in bad times.

[CR] – Since you have hooligans members from different teams, maybe rival teams, how do you manage to keep a peaceful friendship between you?
[TW] The priorities are clearly music and not soccer.
The worldview is the link that strengthens the community.
Yes. Rivalries are put aside, even if it is not always easy.

[CR] – How is the fight against the left in the streets of Wien and Prague? Is antifa strong in your cities?
[TW] I think the Antifa in Vienna is currently in a long-lasting crisis. The constant denunciation of people to the police leads to the fact that leftists are very unpopular with non-political biker groups or even immigrant groups, for example. Corona was also such an issue…. Leftists have by their \”pro\” positioning on state measures, for the first time in a long time, lost the interpretive authority on the street.

[CR] – Did you have any notable interaction with the leftists?
[TW] There is often something about this in the newspaper. The usual whining about the danger coming from the right.

[CR] – You have also done some nice nationalist graffiti. Is this an important part of your activism?
[TW] It is a good way to draw attention to yourself and drives leftists to white heat. It\’s fun!!! So it\’s a part of us.
\"\"
[CR] – In your countries, do you have any good relations with other organized nationalists?
[TW] I would say the movement is manageable. Everybody knows everybody. Some people have good contacts, but there is no cooperation with a certain group.
But it is nice to see how new nationalistic groups with a tendency to electronic music are forming, from Germany, France to the Balkans. I think that we have contributed a big step to it and we are proud of it.

[CR] – Who are your hero models from Europe\’s history, or worldwide?
[TW] Our nation has produced many great sons and daughters who are known beyond the borders of our country.

But I tip my hat to the generations who, over hundreds of years, through long labor and steady achievement, have given us the prosperity we have today. People who rebuilt this country until the late 1950s. Our grandparents.

[CR] – do you see a solution to save Europe?
[TW] First and foremost, the solution lies with ourselves. The ways are debatable.
Doing nothing and just hoping is not an option and not worthy of our ancestors.
\"\"
[CR] – What are the next events your group will participate to in the near future?
[TW] To this day, leftists and the press do not know who we are and what exactly we do.
There are always reports or speculations about it. Events or people are attributed to us. However they are badly informed. This makes us cheerful and we want to keep it that way.
\"\"
[CR] – what do you say to the young generation? How would you inspire them to choose the right side?
[TW] This goes specifically to the big city youth. Stay true to your identity. You have nothing to gain from artificially imitating another foreign identity. Because only people who give up themselves do that. Giving up means weakness. There is little respect for weakness. This is the case with us and also with other cultures. Stay fit, be consistent but do not lose the joy of life. In this sense….
we thank you for this interview and wish you all the best.
